 Dimet
(Siam) Public Company Limited (DIMET) has
established in Thailand since 1982 as a leading
high performance surface coatings manufacturer,
under Ameron’s licence.
Initially, the company was named Dimet (Siam) Ltd,
and was a subsidiary of Acmil Group in Australia
and Australian Consolidated Industries Group (ACI)
respectively.
In 1988, the company was acquired by Wattyl Australia
Ltd., the leading paint manufacturer in Australia.
In 2002, the company was taken over by its own local
Management, which was a smooth transition and under
friendly atmosphere. The company is being trusted
to continue manufacturer and distribute “Wattyl
Paints” in Thailand until now and the future.
In 2006, PPG, who is the second largest paint manufacturer
in the World had acquire Ameron High Performance
Coatings Group. Our strong relationship with Ameron,
then switch to PPG and gain even stronger support
from PPG.
In October 2007, the company had applied for listing
in MAI (Market for Alternative Investment) of Thailand
and was granted permission in December 2007. Then,
the company have actually listed in MAI since January
21, 2008.
At present, the company has utilized PPG – Amercoat
technology for Protective Coatings and Marine Coatings,
and Wattyl’s technology for Timber Coatings and
Decorative Paints, which we are continuing to develop
new products and market for Thailand.
Dimet currently produce high performance protective
coatings, marine coatings, timber finishes, decorative
paints, metal coatings and some other special coatings.
From small beginning, DIMET now produce lot of World
class superior coatings to serve Thai market with
environmental protection mentality. |
